DESCRIPTION : A collector quality Bravo Delta replica of the boat that attempted a new speed record on Coniston Water, with disastrous consequences. With Donald Campbell CBE at the helm, the K7 took to the water on January 4th, 1967. With a huddle of press reporters and photographers camped by the lake, Donald fired the Bluebird up, which lifted the craft off of the water, and somersaulting back down. This replica model, hand carved from kiln dried mahogany and hand painted, is a remarkable tribute to one of the most famous speed crafts ever seen. A Bravo Delta model is a true collectors piece. Also available for this model is a tribute name plaque for the base, product code BDP062, for just 7.99. |
